I have heard of a land,
Where sunshine maps the roads,
Through which morning comes,
On the back of ultihued unicorns,
Hooded with joy and saddled with peace.
I have heard of a sea,
That brings winds that bear,
The fragrance of fresh roses,
That remains odurate across lands and beyond time.
I have heard of a shore,
That is radiant with longing:
With hope of tomorrow.
I have heard of a place,
Where there is a sky at the roof,
And verdant grass on the floor.
A land with lesser nights than days,
With lesser walls than doors.
With more tunes than deafness,
More sight than blindness;
Where the country is still wild;
And seas still dance in an avid ballet with the moon;
Where there is death with the joy of birth,
And roses for thorns.

Call me a dreamer!
If that is how you see,
Then that is how I want to be.
I see what I dream And I dream what I wish.
I dare to confess,
My desires in my dreas in poesy.
I bloom in my flushed fantacies,
As though I were a rose myself.
I bloom as though feable and touch-fall,
Yet too obstinate to quitmy vision oak-firm.
Yet I am what you want to be.
May you see me quaint and drolly,
May you call me a dreamer…
